Shining in China Complete Breakbulk Shipment of Steel Coils

Shining Supply Chain Management have successfully completed a breakbulk shipment of 478tn of steel coils from Qingdao in China to Sohar Port, Oman.

They provided comprehensive end-to-end services including factory pickup, inland transportation, Qingdao Port ground operations, export customs clearance, and ocean freight.

Due to the current conflict and blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, the original destination of Jebel Ali in the UAE became inaccessible. Shining swiftly devised an alternative transshipment plan via Sohar Port.

The key challenges of the shipment included adapting to the sudden changes and adjusting logistics plans immediately as well as managing the extremely tight schedule.
