Shining Supply Chain Management have successfully handled a RORO shipment of a crawler excavator from Taicang in China to the Port of Cotonou, Benin.
"Due to the heavy weight of the cargo, breakbulk shipping could have caused damage during the lifting operations. In addition, breakbulk vessels did not have suitable schedules, making it hard to meet the required on-time delivery.
Therefore, after comprehensive evaluation, Shining opted for RORO shipping as the most cost-effective and time-efficient solution. This method allowed the vehicle to roll on and off the vessel directly, which significantly reduced loading and unloading time while ensuring high safety standards. Furthermore, the stable shipping schedule facilitated a precise delivery plan for the client."
