Athena Global Logistics Report Breakbulk Shipment of Power Plant Generators

Athena Global Logistics are pleased to share a recently handled breakbulk shipment of 3 power plant generators and their parts from India to Somalia.

The shipment consisted of 23 packages with a total gross weight of 310mtn.

• Cargo Origin: Gujarat, India
• POL: Kandla, India
• POD: Mogadishu, Somalia

The 3 main generators each weighed 85mtn (total - 255mtn) with 20 packages of spare parts (including compressors, panels, filters, pipes, chargers and other accessories related to the power plant) totalling 55mtn.

The scope of work efficiently and reliably handled by Athena included planning, cargo carting, pre-inspection, stuffing, transportation, examinations, measurements, valuations, surveys, labelling, port handling, vessel agent coordination, under hook movement, custom clearance and sea freight.
